Gary H. Hoffman, M.D.
Dr. Gary Hoffman specializes in minimally invasive, laparoscopic treatment of colorectal conditions. He is considered a pioneer in the use of the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH), which provides better outcomes and faster recovery than traditional forms of surgical hemorrhoid treatment such as hemorrhoidectomy. Dr. Hoffman contributes to many peer-reviewed publications and also serves as an Attending Surgeon and instructor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Hoffman is board certified and was awarded the Los Angeles SuperDoctors award in 2012 and 2013.
Eiman Firoozmand, M.D.
Dr. Eiman Firoozmand’s primary interests lie in the treatment of colorectal conditions using laparoscopic surgery and modern hemorrhoid surgeries like PPH. Dr. Firoozmand is the Clinical Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is also a member of the faculty of USC’s Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Firoozmand is board certified, contributes to peer-reviewed surgical publications and was awarded the Los Angeles SuperDoctors award in 2012 and 2013.
Liza M. Capiendo, M.D.
Dr. Liza Capiendo specializes in laparoscopic techniques to treat colorectal disorders and is an expert in the treatment of fecal incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. She is particularly interested in the treatment of rectal conditions in women. She has published the results of her research and has presented her findings at the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons Convention. Dr. Capiendo is an Attending Physician and member of the teaching faculty at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is board certified and was awarded the Los Angeles SuperDoctors award in 2012 and 2013.
Stephen Yoo, M.D.
Dr. Stephen Yoo specializes in minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgical techniques and is especially interested in the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer, anorectal disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. He has presented his research at professional surgical society meetings and continues to study the role of post-operative infections in the survival of colon cancer. Dr. Yoo is an Attending Surgeon and member of the teaching faculty at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is board certified.
Allen Kamrava, M.D.
Dr. Allen Kamrava specializes in advanced treatments of complex colorectal disorders, including both laparoscopic and robotic techniques. In addition to his research in inflammatory bowel disease, anal diseases and colorectal cancer, Dr. Kamrava is educated in business administration and has a special interest in improving the efficiency of healthcare systems. He is board certified.
